"I just finished." Two-Bit told Blink, "And then I was talking with Spot and those guys, so..."
She trailed off, a slight look of confusion crossing her face. Blink seemed kind of odd. Why wasn't he looking at her? She wasn't sure whether to bring it up or not.
"... So I just stopped here to chat." She finished, trying not to sound dumb.

He nodded once, scuffing his foor a little, "I appreciate it. No one usually cares to stop and chat."

"Yeah well, it's nothing." Two-Bit said, looking down at the ground. She found herself saying that a lot lately for lack of anything else to say. She looked over her shoulder at Spot and Jewel talking; they weren't missing her much.
"Hey, can I walk with you for a while?" She asked, giving Blink a sideways smile.
((Aww, and Two-Bit thinks she did something wrong!))

His own eye blinked at her, in surprise perhaps, before he nodded and gave a small tilt to his head, "Aint goin no where special, but you're free to join me."
((hehe. awww. ))

"No problem." Two-Bit said quickly. "I ain't got anywhere to be."
She began walking down Bottle Alley a step or two behind Blink. She was thinking about the balcony incident, and the fight at the Distribution Center. She wasn't sure what happened either time, but she did know that it always had something to do with Blink. After a minute of silence she got the nerve to ask him about it.
"So, uh, about that fight at Medda's..." She started, trying to figure out what to say. "That wasn't just a one-time deal, was it? It's just... it seems you get into a lot of fights. And I know it's always with the Delancy's but... you ever think that maybe it makes you kinda like one of them?"
As soon as she had spoken she knew it had been a bad idea. It sounded like she was insulting him.

He paused, actually stopped in his tracks. Turning to her slightly, he laid his papes down on a nearby crate. "Look, da Delancey's...dey just fight with their fists."

Two-Bit raised her eyebrows at Blink, confused again. She had no idea what he was talking about. Of course they fight with their fists.
"As opposed to you, who fights with...?" She trailed off, hoping that he would finish her sentence.

“Look, fighting....It aint about ya fists, its...” He trailed off, his fingers running through his sandy-blonde hair, glowing gold in the sun, completely forgetting about his patchless injury and absently revealing it to her and to everyone.
“Look, If you don’t feel it here.” He touched her forehead and then her chest lightly, right above her heart, “And here...It aint a fight. If you do battle with just your fists, you’re just a bully. No bettah den da Delancey’s, and I don’t fight like dat. Every fight i get into, i feel it in my mind, and in my heart."

Two-Bit just looked at Blink as he spoke to her. She saw his scar, and it suprised her, but her eyes were locked with his one green one and she wasn't looking at anything else. She wasn't sure, but she thought she understood what he was talking about. It was kind of like how she felt; she didn't fight unless it meant something, unless she thought it was right.
She was still thinking about what he had said, and forgot to say anything. The only other thing she was thinking was that suddenly she wanted to grab Blink's hand and hold it there at her collar, but she didn't move. What the hell would that be about?

Clearing his throat, he shrugged "Well, dat's how i feel anyway. If fightin makes me like da Delancey's, well den let it. I know da difference and dat's all dat matters." Startled a bit at where his hand still was, he let it drop between them slowly.

"It don't." Two-Bit said shortly, shaking herself slightly as she remembered where she was. She wanted to take back what she had said about the Delancy's, it was stupid, but she couldn't.
She finally registered the scar on Blink's face, and tried not to look at him any different. She decided that she really wasn't going to bring that up, and began walking down the alley again.
"How many papers you got left?" She asked, trying to sound natural.

He flicked through them as he frowned, "Seven. Stupid things."
He knew she was changing the subject, but he let her. Its not like he actually wanted to know why she didn't stare at him like he was a freak. Like she didn't walk away because of his face.

"I don't know how you're gonna sell them," Two-Bit said, looking up at the setting sun. "It's getting kind of late..."
She was going to ask him if he wanted her to sell a few, but thought better of it. Boys didn't usually want too much help when it came to selling papers.

He sighed, "Hold dese a minute, wouldja?" He handed her the papes and pulled out a small weather-beaten purse, quickly rummaging through it before stashing it back up. "Well, i dont really need em..."

Two-Bit took the papers, holding them so that they draped over one shoulder. She watched Blink pull out his money and count it. Her own money was in one of her dress pockets, which wasn't the best idea, but she only had a few pennies after lunch.
"Saving up for something?" She asked him with a smile and a wink.
