"Actually, yeah." He paused a minute, "Would you like to have dinnah with me, Two-Bit?"

Two-Bit looked at Blink for a minute, and then burst out laughing. He could be serious, could he?
By the look on his face, apparently he could. Two-Bit stopped laughing, instead raising her eyebrows in shock.
"Um, really?" She asked, her voice a bit higher than normal.

He nodded, slightly down by the laughing. "Yeah, i've been...uh, saving money for a while. I wanted to take you someplace other than Tibby's so, uh, Lombardi's Pizza sound good? I mean, if ya want to go."
((aww, even he can get flustered!!))

"Yeah, sure." Two-Bit said, trying not to grin. She was still ready for Mush and Racetrack to jump out and yell "Fooled you!" but Blink's face made her begin to take it seriously. Maybe it wasn't a joke...
"So, pizza? Sound's great." She said with a small smile, handing Blink his papers back.

He smiled at her, handing his papes off to one of the newsies bumbling about, looking like they need a few more cents. "Really?" He looked surprise she had excepted.

"Yeah." Two-Bit answered, nodding for good measure. "I'd love to have dinner with you, Blink."
She thought it was funny that he now looked more suprised than she had a minute ago. Her smile was now wider than ever.

"Uh.....uh, thanks...i mean, gah.." Wow, this was one for the record books. Kid Blink, famed fighter and all around tough guy, unable to think of what to say to a girl when she accepts on a date. He hadn't really thought she would accept, and it....shocked him.
Finally he settled on. "Well, i guess you want to go to the lodgin house and do dat thing all you girls do?"

Two-Bit resisted the urge to poke fun at Blink's awkwardness, but it was a hard won battle. She thought it was funny that the only thing he was the least bit nervous about was a date, when he threw himself into any scuffle he could find. Boys are a very strange species.
"Why would I need to go to the Lodging House?" She asked him. "Am I supposed to?"

He shrugged, "Do i look like a goil?" He looked down at himself, "This is who i am, take it or leave it, but you goils....You're a different species all together! You sit and gossip and make yourselves look pretty for us scraggily guys..." He trailed off, smacking himself mentally for rambling like that. "Uh, sorry bout dat."
((he's too cute))

"The only girls who do that are the one's who can afford to look nice." Two-Bit told him, poking him in the chest. "But appology accepted."
She liked this much better; she didn't feel like everything she said was stupid, and could finally joke with Blink. Maybe this was why so many girls were boy crazy.

He crossed his arms and appraised her, "And you cant afford to look nice?"
OUCH. Stupid Blink! STUPID.
"Not that you dont...look nice, i mean....Crap." Shaking his head, he tilted his head to the side, "Well, Lombardi's?"

"Sure." Two-Bit said, laughing at Blink's last comment. He certainly seemed more confused than before. But it was cute.
"So where is this place?" She asked him as they walked. "It isn't in Manhattan, is it?"

"No, not at all." Two-Bit assured him. "At least we won't run into anyone we know."
Whoops. It sounded like she didn't want to be seen with him. Which wasn't true, she only meant... well anyway, he knew what she meant. Hopefully.

He raised an eyebrow, brain wracking for a reason why she would say that. He only came up with one, and he didn't like it. "Right." He said slowly. Uh-oh. He didn't know what she meant.
