She prayed that she had explained her reasoning, but wasn't sure that she really had.

"Well, yes." He said slowly, but then raised his hands, palm out, "But i bribed him and Mush with pizza, so i think we're all right...Plus..." His eye darkened just a bit, "You dont think i'd really let them talk bad about you?"

Two-Bit smiled. "Yeah, you're too nice for that. Plus pizza makes a good bribe, 'specially with newsies."
She kind of liked how Blink looked when he said that bit about not letting them talk bad about her. It was nice to have somebody be protective.

Two-Bit laughed, an image of money-holding Blink being chased around by Racetrack going through her head.
"Yeah, Race's pretty easy like that." She said with a grin.

"Way too easy." He agreed as they walked off to the Bronx. And he didn't even realize he was patchless. It was nice, not being reminded everytime someone looked at him- that he was a freak
