Dutchy crossed one ankle over the other, relaxing under the tree. He opened the paper, reading the good stories of the day, as best he could. Kloppman made him. Well, told him too. Couldn't be a newsie without knowing how to read. Dutch took the pencil from behind his ear, circling the words he didnt know.

((New Day)) Rose wandered over to a lonely tree in Central Park. She leaned her shoulder up against it's bark, taking in all the scenery that surrounded her. The rough breeze of the wind swept her face and sent her hat flying, ruining the tranquility of the moment. Her reaction wasn't abrupt. She turned her head to see where her hat had flown off to, rolled her eyes and made her way to retrieve it. |

Evangeline was leaning some wildflowers near the tree. Summer wasn't best for flowers, but their scent filled the air. They were all around her now and that made her soften where she'd hardened over the last few months. Flowers could make her do a variety of things she wouldn't normally do. She loved them.
Falling back from her haunches she sat on the grass, she was going to have grass stains on her skirt and more then likely Marie was going to scold her, like she had all summer about her earthy habits. But with the sun shining over head, and the birds singing. Evie didn't care. For a moment she was content with the world how it was. And that made a difference.

Pockets was so happy. Snitch had asked her out at the Manhattan Lodging house, and she really liked him!
She liked Manhattan better than Queens, so she doesn't know if she can switch. "Hey, Snitch?" She grabbed his hand as they sat under the tree. " Is there any room in yoah lodging house? Like I said befoah, I like 'Hattan better than Queens."

Snitch was so happy he had asked out a girl in the Manhattan Lodging house and she didn't even laugh when he asked her, he had also gotten kissed and hugged by her.
"Hey Snitch, Is there any room in yoah lodging house? Like I said befoah, I like 'Hattan better than Queens."
" Umm...I don't know there might be but you will have to ask Jackey- Boi.
Hopefully there is an extra bunk....thought Snitch.

Pockets looked at Snitch's eyes again. "You know, I love your brown eyes." She kissed him on the jaw since he was taller than her.

Snitch sat down next to Pockets under the tree. Snitch turned around to look into Pockets eyes.
"Prince probably isn't that hurt." said Snitch trying not to hurt her feelings.
"You know, I love your brown eyes."
"Thanks, I love your blue eyes." said Snitch.

She smiled. She kissed him again and wrapped her arms around his waist and her head was in his chest.
"Thanks, I love your blue eyes."
"Thanks Snitch." She squeezed him. Pockets felt like she was a perfect fit and she wanted to melt into Snitch. "I like you a lot Snitch."

Snitch was surprised a what Pockets did. Snith hugged her back and kissed her on the top of her head.

"We could meet up with the guys at Tibby's..or take a walk...or I could take you to the Lodging House." said Snitch looking down at Pockets.
Pockets is the most beautiful girl that i have even met...thought snitch, smiling.

Pockets thought about it for a minute. "How about we go to Tibby's? We can tell the Manhattan guys foist about our little suprise!" She laughed.
