Lock continued to smile, "So, no need to worry. There's still so many places to look." Lock lifted the cushions on the sofa, placing them back neatly before moving on. Lock then leaned over and looked under the couch. "Well, I see some stuff..." He flashed from Melody to the space under the couch. "Maybe the picture's there." Lock tried to reach under, but couldn't get his arm far enough. "You might have to do this, Melody."

Magenta sat in a chair not to far from them, watching her best friend and brother look for a picture. She thought it was the most interesting thing to watch.
But..as she watched them both, she really kept her eye on Lock the whole time. Studying him, she smiled.

Melody smiled brightly and layed down next to the couch. As he was on his stomach, he used his left hand to reach under. Swiftly reaching something, he felt paper. His smile turned even greater into a huge grin as he found the picture.
Pulling it out, he stood up and gave Lock a hug. "Thanks! I've been lookin' for this almost all day." Sitting back down on the couch he smiled at his sister and her boyfriend. That is what Melody assumed he was, since he was only 12.

Lock got up, making sure he didn't hit his head on anything, and sat beside Melody. "Well, glad I could help." He flashed Magenta a sly look before speaking again. "And I didn't make you hit your head." He looked back to Magenta and gave her a wink. He laughed jokingly, as he turned to the boy once more. "Must be a nice picture to get so worked up about it."

Magenta just smiled at Lock, her blue eyes sparkling. Walking over, one more person could fit on the couch and she sat next to Lock. Sitting back, she studied her brother and him, thinking that they would be great friends. "Yeah, it must''ve been." She gave a wink back at Lock and giggled.

Melody opened the folded picture carefully and handed it across Lock to his sister. "She drew me. I liked it. She also said I reminded her of her little brother." Shrugging, he asked another question, "So...how long have you guys been..ya know...dating..?" He asked this question quietly, not wanting to embarrass them, and thinking that they were together. He assumes what he notices are the facts. Melody is so innocent that way.

Lock looked down at the picture as Melody passed it to Magenta. "That's very nice." He commented. At Melody's next question Lock sat up a little taller. "We... uh... I... well..." He stammered, trying to get the words out. He wasn't dating Magenta, at the moment. He had told himself before that it would be hard, but he knew he'd have to decide sooner or later.
Calming down, Lock looked at Magenta. He let everything soak in before turning to Melody and speaking again. "Well, I'm not sure about us dating." He flashed a look to Magenta. "Well, not y-yet." He was pretty sure Magenta wouldn't be against their dating some time soon.

Taking the picture from her brother, she almost dropped it again at his next comment. Standing up straight, she looked at her brother, wondering how he would think that they were dating. Maybe they were flirting a little bit, but that was different.
When Lock answered her brother, she looked up at him and smiled, as well as blushed at his comment. Yeah, she was starting to like him a lot, but she wanted to take things slow. Especially with the price raise. "Yeah..not yet."

Melody nodded his head again as his sister looked at the picture. "Oh..alright." Looking around the lodging house, he didn't see anybody, but took a big wiff and sneezed. Blushing, he smiled a little bit and started humming.

Lock smiled at Magenta, happy to hear her response. "Bless you." Lock told the boy. He heard him hum and smiled. "So, I heard you like singing." He commented. "Anything else you like to do?" He liked this kid, even considering the fact that Melody seemed to jump to conclusions.

Melody grinned. "I like singing the most. But, I also like swimming, reading, drawing," He paused, remembering Solitaire, he grinned even more. "And I like playing solitaire."

Lock smiled at the kid, "That's pretty cool. I like to read as well. I don't sing that much, but it's pretty cool. I heard that you're really good at it." Lock watched as Melody grinned. "Solitaire is fun, but don't spend too much time alone." Lock poked fun at him. "Maybe we should go to the shore and go swimming some time. I've never swam before, but I'd be willing to give it a try."

Melody laughed. "I won't, I promise." At his comment about going to the shore, he smiled. "Really? We could? That would be great! Who told you I could sing...?" It was kind of obvious, but he was oblivious to his sister at the moment.

Lock smiled at the boy's delight. He liked Melody's innocence. "Magenta told me about you." He mentioned. "I was looking forward to meeting you for a while." Lock always wanted siblings, or someone younger to look up to him, which was also part of the reason he wanted to meet Melody. "What kind of things do you like to sing?"
