Situated between the bottom of the stairs and the front desk, this large sofa is a good place to cozy up with a book. It's been patched up so many times by Will that you can't tell what it's original color pattern was, but it's still pretty comfortable.

Mini laid down on the sofa relaxing, glad to be home with a bit of money in her pocket even after eating and putting away enough for papes tomorrow. She looked around the room and was glad that it was mostly quiet most everyone was in bed by now and she had the front room to herself. She knew she should get some rest but Mini never was one to follow the rules. Closing her eyes she let herself drift through her thoughts completely oblivious to anything else around her.

Crash eyed the sofa reluctantly. Yes it was old, and yes it was sturdy. But just last week she's sat down and broke a hole in it. Which was saying a lot since she was a rather tiny girl. To sit or not to sit, that's the question, she thought. Her beloved and ragged old copy of Anna Karenina tucked closely to her chest, she continued to stare the sofa down. Just try and do something to me today, she dared. Gingerly, she sat down on one of the end squares, the part with the armrest. "This could work," she said to herself as she opened her book to the very beginning.

:New Day:
Lock held the door open for Magenta, then walked over to the sofas. He sat down at one end, and looked around to see if anyone else was there.

"Thanks," Magenta went over and sat next to Lock-Pick. Taking her hand, she brushed some of her hair behind her, making a piece fall in her eyes.

Lock stretched out his legs, "Ah, good to be home." He sounded relaxed, yet there was a small hint of mock in his voice; as if he could ever call the lodging house home. Lock looked over to Magenta, and a smiled formed across his face.
He lifted a hand and brushed the hair out of her face, making sure not to touch her with his tough hands. He was used to his hands, but was pretty self conscious about their rough and bumpy texture.

Magenta blushed a deep shade of red, but smiled at him the same. She leaned back against the sofa and watched him, for no apparent reason. He was the only one in the room right now.

Lock inched back as Magenta blushed. He tried to turn away, but he could feel her watching him; not in a creepy way... just...
Lock awkwardly shifted his seat, and sighed. "Well, when you first came up to me," He said as if answering a question. "I was worried about my money. With the price of papes now I don't know how I'll be able to make a profit." Something made him answer her very first question. "That's why I was mad."
He wasn't sure what made him do it, but he let it all come out. Though, not all really came out. He didn't mention the fact that he thought about stealing. Though he told himself that he didn't steal, the thought really stuck in his mind. Even now he could hear his mind work up ways of stealing without getting caught.

Giving him a bright smile, Magenta wondered what made him tell her, but she didn't mind at the moment. Just sitting in the room with him in silence, in her opinion, just made everything better. She looked straight ahead, then let her head fall back against the couch and she closed her eyes, but was smiling.

Lock felt much better getting that off of he chest. He knew the situation wasn't gone, but he felt like he wasn't alone. "Thanks." He said to her; he was so happy to have someone who'd listen. "This place is kinda quiet." Lock commented, as he looked.
He wondered is Melody was around. It's not like he didn't want to spend time with Magenta - he actually wanted to spend more time with Magenta. He just felt if he was going to spend a lot of time with her, that he'd like to meet her brother. Lock smiled at the sweet face beside him. He laid his head back, near her head. However, he kept his eyes open.

As her eyes were closed, she felt him moving a bit, which made her smile a little bit more. When she felt his warm breath hitting her cheek, a shiver ran down her spine, and her back arched a bit. Hoping he didn't see that, she turned her head towards him and opened her eyes.
Their heads were quite close together, and Magenta was suprised to see him staring at her, but she was just looking at him. Wondering what he was doing, so she didn't say anything.

Lock watched her turn her head and look at him. His smiled flashed brighter, then he turned to face the ceiling. "This is the most relaxed I've been since they raised the prices on the papes." He watched her out of the corner of his eye. He was going to suggest that she could go do something while he relaxed, but he didn't think things would be a serene if she did. "Do you have any plans for tonight?" He asked, wondering how long he had to hang out with her.

Magenta was suprised when he turned away, it's not like she was sad or anything, but she thought he might've kissed her, but she guesses she was wrong.
"Hm.." Thinking about her plans, and her brother, she said, "Nope. I have no plans. Why?"

Lock shrugged, "I just wanted to know how much longer I... we had here." He wasn't sure which sounded better. He looked around, seeing and hearing nobody. They were probably out getting food, betting at the race track... he wasn't sure. He turned his head back to look at her. He didn't realize how close he was to her. "You have lovely eyes." He commented before he could think about what he said.
It wasn't that he didn't believe it... he was still afraid of getting too involved in someone... afraid of having to worry about her. He sat up and turned his head back to her. "Excuse me." He mumbled. quietly he stood and walked across the room. He needed to think, and to do that he needed to walk. After walking to one side of the room, then back he sat again. "Sorry, I just... needed to... stretch my legs." He fumbled through the sentence. In his quick walk he came to a conclusion, but he wasn't sure it was the best.
Gently he reached out with his right hand and took a hold of her left hand. He didn't squeeze, but gently wrapped his fingers around hers. He gave her a look, hoping she didn't mind he rough hand, or even the face that he held her. He wasn't sure what to say, but he continued to sit here, her hand in his; feeling the warmth of the two hands grow together. His eyes found their way to hers, and he continued to smile. "It's been a lovely day." He commented.

Magenta smiled at him and her face blushed a light pink. "Thanks." When he started holding her hand, she smiled even brighter at him. Magneta doesn't mind his rough hand, she hardly even noticed, she just liked holding his hand. "Yeah, it has. Thanks for taking me out."
