"Well that's it." Race stood from his place on her bed, pulling his cap down tight to brave the weather. "I'm gonna go find a doctah or somethin'. . .that's er. . free?" He scratched his head, deciding he'd figure out where he was going once he was on his way. "You don' let her move Rosie." He gave her a look that didn't often cross his features-- he was dead serious.
He'd seen the headline, heard the shouts. People were dying all over the city, and he'd be damned if he'd let anything happen to his Hawkeye.

Rose nodded, although she had a feeling Hawkeye wouldn't be one to stay situated. She stood up as Race began to walk out, "Hey!" she called, grabbing the last of her money from her pocket and tossing it to him, "Here."

Hawkeye watched the two, glancing back and forth between them as they spoke. She fidgeted uncomfortably, wishing they'd move onto the next interesting topic.
As Racetrack stood, she snapped, "Woulb you two jus' gib ib a rest? 'S jus' a colb. I'm fine! Jus' stob fussing ober me!"
A moment later, she was leaning over the side of the bed, coughing her lungs (and some blood) out.

Race took the money from Rose, counting it out quickly before pocketing it. "Alright." He ignored Hawkeye's protests as he walked to the door, only pausing when she began coughing. Giving Rose a 'you take care of her look' he quickly headed out the door, determined to find someone who would help.

Rose took a deep breath and nodded. She watched as Hawkeye had her coughing fits, not quite sure what she could do to help.
She pulled another blanket over her, "Maybe try ta get some sleep, Hawkeye. Jist until Race comes back."
Hopefully he'll be able to find someone, not many doctors are willing to help for little ta nothing for pay, she thought to herself as she sat down on the bunk across from Hawkeye's.

Hawkeye looked over her shoulder as Race left, scowling. She grabbed a few tissues, wiping away the blood. She raised her eyebrows at Rose, "Come on, you don't really think-- I mean, 's jus' a colb-- I ain't--" she glared, flopping backward onto her pillow, "Ergh." But as fast as she went down, she shot back up, coughing... again.

Rose stood up and disappeared for a quick moment, keeping her eye on Hawkeye as she did so. She returned with a damp cloth, "Here," Rose tried to situate it on the back of Hawkeye's neck, since it wouldn't very well balance on her forehead.
She sat back down and responded to what Hawkeye had said earlier, "For all we know it is jist a cold, but.." Her voice trailed off, "We got ta take care of ya."

Tumbler looked around as people left the room. He let out a small sigh. Jack was gone, and Tumbler wasn't entirely sure whether or not he'd come back. Deciding that he wanted to go and take his mind off of this, he left the room. 'Maybe a walk," Tumbler thought, and continued on his way.

Hawkeye scowled, "Yeah, yeah." Usually, she would have tried to further the argument, but she was beginning to feel tired, and didn't really want to continue debating the subject. She leaned back against her pillow. There was a long moment of silence, until she broke it by saying, "You don't habe to stib around, you know," she rolled her eyes and took a sip of her water, "I'm not going anywhere," to this, she muttered, "Not as if I'be gob anywhere to go," she paused to cough a bit, then continued, "But really, I don't want you to geb sick too."

Rose smirked, "And hafta deal with Race killin' me when he gets back?" She shook her head and shrugged, "Nah, I don't mind. 'S not like I have a life ta attend to anyhow." Rose pulled one leg up onto the bed, giving herself a head rest, "If ya need anything jist ask."

Blink came up a minute after, just in time to hear the question. "I'm sure you cna find a bunk. One that isn't takin." He smiled at Stags, not wanting to be rude as he slid up toward Hawk and Rose. "Howya doin?" He asked, grabbing a chair as he sat next to them.

David smiled at the new girl. "Hi Stags. I'm David. Just take an empty bunk. Sorry, we are in a bit of a situation right now." He said referring to Hawkeye. He nodded to her and walked over to the group of people. He knew that this was more then a cold, he had seen plenty of colds, and you usually didn't start coughing up blood.

Rose gave Blink a smile, appreciating his concern, "Shore we've all been bettah," she looked around the room, "And I ain't sure it's too safe ta have all these people 'round."
Rose didn't mean to seem rude. She was just worried about the others catching whatever it is Hawkeye was sick with, even if it is just a cold.
"Ya know, in case it's contagious," she quickly added, to make them aware that her intention was not to be cruel.

Hawkeye sat forward, another cough taking over. A minute later, she leaned back, folding her arms, glaring around the room. Though she was tired, she wasn't too tired to be angry. It annoyed her that she couldn't stop coughing. It annoyed her that she was stuck in her bed. It annoyed her that people were worrying about her. But most of all, it annoyed her that there was nothing she could do about it; and that made her mad.
She glance toward the new girl, saying loudly, "Don't take a bunk near mine though, I might accidentally BREATHE on you," she scowled, taking another sip of water. It wasn't often that she'd get this upset, but when she did, she took out her frustration on anyone she was around. Just the thought that she'd be stuck in the lodging house for a while made her cringe--and, apparently, cough up blood...again. On the plus side, her voice had cleared up.
