Jack sighed, coming up to the lodging house. He still couldn't shake this feeling. He really couldn't. Seeing Mush he waved a bit, sitting down next to him.
"How ya doin' Mush?" He smirked a bit, calming down.

Mush looked up at Jack who'd just come out of the door and waved back. "I'm doin' alright," he said nodding a bit making room for Jack so that he could sit comfortably beside him and not teeter on the edge. "How about you?" he asked, though... it looked as though something was on Jack's mind, but Mush wasn't gonna be the one to bring up unhappy things if he could help it.

Jack shrugged. "I'm....okay." He laughed a bit. "I dunno, Mush. That whole 'note' thing has me on edge." He looked at Mush. "But you's ain't gonna leave on the temptation of a couple dollah's, are ya?" He smiled lopsidedly.
He doubted Mush would leave the newsies for it...but loyality was something he was short of as of late.

Mush laughed a little as well. "You kiddin'? Naaaaaah, I like da newsies too much. If I need more money I'll jus take Blink on in a game of poker, and I'll be set for a week!" he laughed harder. "No, I think I'll stick around," he said nodding. "B'sides, ya too good of a leadah," he added.

Jack laughed with Mush, feeling a weight taken off his shoulders--leave it to Mush to brighten him. "Thanks Mush. Thanks alot." He gave the kid a good pat on the back, knocking the cowboy had off his bed. "And nah..I'm not that great. I try...and I think dat's what matters." He smirked. "...but enough of that...what's been goin' on in your woild?"

"Nothin', an' I mean dat honestly... it's quiet. NOthin' was happenin' until dat mystery note appeared on da door. I mean... it's been so quiet, I cain't even find a goil ta talk ta, let alone anyone else. I thought maybe if I stuck here long enough someone would tell me what I've been missin'," he said with a smirk. "So... what have I been missin'?" he asked.

Jack laughed. "No goils? Oh the world certainly has stopped!" He shook his head a bit, allowing his hair to fall in his face. "Not a problem I've been havin.." He winked.
Jack shrugged. "War ended I....aplogized to Spot. On behave o' the other leaders." He ran a hand through his hair. "...thats about it, really." He didn't like mentionin' it, but he did.

"Good for you, goin' ta see Spot yaself. 'Bout time someone did it, and he'd listen ta youse," Mush said nodding. "Good job."
Then he realized what else Jack had just said. "So! Cowboy got himself a cowgirl huh?" he asked chuckling slightly. "And who might da lovely lady be who won ya heart?" he asked folding his arms across his chest slyly curious to see who it was.

Jack laughed, realizing he hadn't laughed like this in a good long time. His friends brought out the best in him--this is why he could never leave New York. Not for a long time.
"Well...keep it quiet..but Prince, actually." He smirked. "Guess something good came outta the war." He shoved Mush a bit. "Don't ya worry tho--Is ain't gonna go soft on ya."

Mush laughed along with him happy to be making the leader happy, if just a little. "Hmmm... Prince huh?" Mush had known Prince a long time, they had a history, before they became newsies. "Nevah woulda guessed," he said sincerely. He knew enough about Prince and her past to know... everything. They have a LONG history. And knowing Jack and Prince... he didn't see how they'd fit together at all. "Interestin'."

Jack shrugged. "I know...but we got close durin' the war. She's a great goil." He knew Mush had known Prince for a long time, and he was a bit non-plussed that his friend didn't seem that thrilled. "...I know her past, Mush. Is don't really care. Is got a past too that i's ain't that happy about either." He smirked. "...maybe its opposites. I dunno. But she is definitely better than Sarah."

Mush laughed pretty hard at that. He found it humorous anyway. "Well... it's a good thing you know her past, or I'd be worried... like I was until ya said that," he said nodding a bit. "But I'm happy for the two of you, especially since you both know what cha gettin' yaselves inta... hey, Queens' gots lots of goils in it don't it? Maybe I oughta spend more time there," he said giving it some... serious thought!

Mush smiled and thought about that for second. "ya know, I ain't so sure if dat's a bad thin' or a good thin'..." he laughed slightly. "Sounds like a fun way ta spend da aftah noon. How's about you Jack? Got any plans for da day?" he asked.

Jack winked. "Could be both, Mush. Just depends on what goil ya ask!" He laughed a bit, and sombered up. "Nah. Might go to Queens myself. Talk to Prince about this whole deal. I want to know what the other Leaders are plannin--if this has even touched their burroughs."
His face looked troubled again. "...I just don't know."
