It was a nice day out, one of those days in late winter that reminded you that spring would be coming soon. The sun sparkled across the lake as Daisy stepped into the gazebo and settled down on one of the benches looking out across it. The air was warmer today and she enjoyed the feel of it, the chance to get out and take a moment before she started her shift over at McGinty's. Pulling out a book, she opened it to the page she'd left off at the night before and settled in to read for a bit.

"You're always readin, love." Peem had been strolling, happily catching a glance of his girl. "I always seem to stumble across you." He sat down next to her, playing with a bit of her hair. "Now don't you have work today?"

"Peem!" Daisy said, her face lighting at the sight of her beau and she allowed the book to fall into her lap as she moved a bit closer to him. "Aye, so you do. Suppose the fates make it so," Her blue eyes sparkled as she leaned into him slightly. "Tonight. Have some time before I have to be at the pub."

Peem laughed, hugging her close. "Mm..well maybe I'll come by the pub and buy a pint from ye." He sighed. "I've missed ye."

"I would like that," Daisy said, almost shyly as she curled into his arms, part of her wanting to crawl into his lap and just relax there. Peem always made her feel so safe, warm and happy. "I've missed ye too laddie," She said softly, lifting a hand and cupping his cheek gently.

She kissed him back, blushing slightly when he pulled away and she rested her head on his shoulder. "No love, you aren't taking any liberties I didn't want you too..." She sighed and flushed a little brighter at the admission, turning and pressing her face into the material of his shirt.

"Didn't think a handsome lad like you would notice a girl like me...in that way," Daisy admitted, looking into his eyes, her blue ones sparkling.

"...Daisy, you're much prettier than a simple lad like me deserves." He grinned, running a hand through her hair gently. "You sell yourself short."

"As do you," She replied, feeling bold and leaning forward to press a quick kiss to his mouth, pulling away and smiling at him shyly. "I think we are lucky to have each other, aye?"

"Agreed." Peem laughed and played with her hair gently. "Luckiest lad in New York."

She smiled and leaned her head back on his shoulder, just enjoying this time with Peem, being able to be with him...exist with him. He made her happy just by being here with her.

Peem grinned. "Now I don't want to make you late to work..how bout I show up a bit later and you can serve me a bit?" He laughed. "I'll take you home when you get off."
