Rose looked up at Blink, giving him a kind death glare, "Ya know, some input or back up would be greatly appreciated. Just because I caved in to you, doesn't mean you can shut up and gloat to yourself."
She broke out into a fit of coughing, which had been significantly worse than the others. Rose sighed and looked over to the doctor, who was the last person who deserved her stubbornness. "I'm... Sorry..." she mumbled, "What is it exactly you want to do? I s'pose it can't hurt ta just confirm that I ain't sick," she smirked as she looked toward Blink, wrapping his jacket closer around her as she shivered.

Aria shrugged at Hawk. "Fine...I'll remember to come visit your grave--with that attitude you'll be there within a week." She looked over at Rose and smiled. "..its fine...but you are sick Rose..." She sighed. "Denying it isn't going to make things better."
She noticed Blink finally and smiled. "Why hello there, Ryan...see you are trying to help as well..." She chuckled. "But shouldn't you be out checking on that right pretty girl of yours?" She remembered how happy the two had looked at the dance she had thrown. She liked Blink. He was a good young man. Apparently the young men in Manhattan had something the female's did not.

Race gave Hawkeye a stern look as he walked over to her bedside. "Hawk wouldja quit wit da pride? Ya can't afford ta be stubborn righ' now, an' for dat mattah I can't afford it eiddah. If she leaves heah we aint gonna be able ta find anotha doctah ta look aftah you, much less pay fah one." He sighed, collapsing on the edge of her bed and resting his face in his hands. "Wouldja please jist do as she says, I... we don' wanna lose ya okay?"

"We ain't losin' anymore of us," Rose remarked, in reference to the whole Jack leaving situation.
She rolled her eyes, falling backward on the bed, Figures, she thought to herself, upon hearing the doctor's comment to Blink. 'S not like anyone would actually notice if I just disappeared, thinking to herself once again, this time after hearing Race speak.

Hawkeye rolled her eyes, muttering, "Lovely. I love it when people snap at me when I don't say anything. Really puts me in a damn good mood," She glanced to Race, at his comment. She stared at him, "I didn't do anything! In fact, I just sat here. I'm terribly sorry if anyone finds that offensive."
She scowled, becoming more and more annoyed as people continued to give her a hard time. What had she done? She gave the lady's stupid thermometer a weird look, coughed, fell off her bed, and glared at Race. Obviously, these were logical reasons for others to snap at her, yes?
She groaned and tried at push herself back up onto her bed. This failed miserably, as another coughing attack came up, this one worse than any of the others. Moments later, her sleeve was covered in blood and she was leaning back against the wall, gasping for breath.

Rose looked up toward Hawkeye, "You okay?" Although this seemed like a pretty rhetorical question, since her sleeve was covered in blood. She watched as she gasped for air, "Try and take deep breaths, as best you can anyway."
Following her advice to Hawkeye, Rose had a lovely coughing attack, which was increasingly more painful lying down. She didn't feel the desire to get up either, seeing as she was now at a stage of dejection. Rose reached over, taking one of Hawkeye's blanket and plopped it on herself, head and all.
She wasn't in the mood to deal with any of this; Jack leaving, people being bitter, the idea of her being sick, people making such a big deal about her being sick, people being nice jerks and trying to help her, and the "just in news" of Blink and his lovey over in that place.. Not that I care, she added in her mind, biting down on her lip. But she was going to go on about being bitter and melancholy about the situation anyway.
Rose let out a scream of pain as she took a deep breath, which from any onlooker's point of view might look extremely odd, "I'm okay!" She hollered from underneath the blanket sighing and returning to her depressed mood.

Aria put her hands on her hips, not impressed by their coughing. "Well, Hawk...calling me blondie when I was being very nice to you isnt the way to show your greatfulness. So I had a right to snap."
She looked at the blood that came from Hawk. "...now are you going to apologize, or am I going to have to simply take you down to the sanatorium and leave you there?" She was in no mood to deal with this girl. "Your friend Race here was very nice and came and got me...and you've been nothing but an ungratful...well an ungreatful bitch."
She looked at both the girls. "Buck up, start acting more mature about this. You both are sick with something that could kill you, whether you acknowledge it or not. You will die if you don't listen to me."

Rose remained underneath the blanket, listening to the doctor who sounded muffled from her point of view, "Using our imagination," she was at the point where she just wanted to give up, "And pretending I have some deadly disease, what would you suggest I do ta make it be gone?"
As much as she didn't want to admit it, she appreciated the help that the doctor was trying to give her. Didn't want it, but none the less appreciated it.
Rose slowly peeked her eyes over the top of the blanket, probably looking like a complete lunatic, "Buck up? Buck up?! I got my ass kicked, my leadah left," - No one really gives a damn about what actually happens ta me, - "And I've been told multiple times that I'm going to die from this unknown disease!"
Rose let out a sigh, pulling the blanket back over her head, Bettah start digging my grave, this poor girl ain't going ta want to stick around and help me, "Sorry," she said quietly, sounding as if she had finally lost it and was balling her eyes out, "Shockingly I'm not always like this."

Hawkeye inwardly rolled her eyes, Ah, Blondie, the ultimate insult. She raised her eyebrows. Had she wanted to insult her, she could have come up with something far better than, "Blondie." If anyone was to be offended, it should have been Hawkeye. How dare that woman accuse her of throwing out such crap insults.
She looked over to Aria from her spot against the wall, "Shockingly," she said, her tone quiet and dull, "Asking me to apologize and then calling me an 'ungreatful'," what ever the hell that meant, "Wench," she stopped, coughing again, "Doesn't make me want to apologize, or act 'grateful', nor does you telling me that I'm going to die every other minute." She scowled, hoisting herself back onto her bunk.
At Rose's outburst, she smirked, "Yeah, how exactly does one act mature about dying? How much more do you want us to 'buck'?" She glanced at Race, knowing exactly what his response was going to be. She groaned and eyed Aria, going back to her monotone voice, "I'm," really sick of you raving on about an apology that I don't owe you, "Sorry."

Race stood, rubbing his eyes with his index and thumb. Glancing back at all the women he just sighed, giving them all a weak shrug. "You ladies are killin' me ovah heah." Shaking his head he walked to the window, slipping out and up the fire escape as he mumbled something about hormones. He'd had enough of the catty attitudes and condescending remarks.

Aria crossed her arms. "Fine. Fine. You know the ballroom? That I kindly opened up for the party? It's a Quarintine for fellow newsies--you aren't the only ones sick, you know. You can come if you want free care--but I'm not spending anymore time here."
She looked at Race. "I'm sorry..your heart was in the right place...but I'm not going to deal with this." She picked up her bag, ignoring the sharp pain she got in her belly.
She felt her hormones rage and on her way out, slapped Hawk, staring her in the face. "Grow the Hell up, cher. So you have a chance to live." With that, she was gone. She needed to pick up that damn wheelchair. And she had better patients to deal with.

Rose crept out from under her blanket again, wiping away a tear, "How dare you. How dare you!" She got up and walked to the window, "I think there's a word for this, hypocrite!" Rose crossed her arms, "Ya know, you leavin' ain't much incentive for me ta want to get better, buddy."
She leaned against the wall, whacking her head rather hard as she coughed. Rose mumbled and thought to herself, Mmm, good, the first acknowledgment for the past 20 minutes and it's him leaving. She let herself slide to the ground, now just sitting, looking a cross between crazy and depressed.
Rose looked to the doctor as she walked out, "S'pose you ain't gonna answer my question about how ta get rid of this thing." Just because one of us was still being grouchy, doesn't mean she should just leave us to die.

Hawkeye went tumbling off the bed again as she was slapped, partially from the force, mostly from the next coughing attack she had. She didn't bother to get up, instead she just lay on the ground for what felt like ages. She was less concerned about her sickness, and more focused on what Race was going to do. She sighed, couldn't be worse than whatever this disease was doing to her.
Eventually, she rolled over onto her back, "Some nurse, huh?" Which was her awkward way of apologizing to Rose. She said, "Jeeze, out of all the people to drag back here, why pick the one who's going to get into a huff because you're upset 'cause you're sick?" She groaned and slammed her head back against the floor, mumbling, "Ow," after she did so.

Rose's eyes widened as she looked over at Hawkeye, "When I die... it'll be on your shoulders."
Her expression turning from a glare to a frown, "'S long as I'm gonna die anyway, might as well get outta heah." She lifted herself up, hacking up along the way and nearly falling right back down.
Rose looked around the room, "Need anythin' while I'm out? Granted, no promises it'll actually make it back here."
Before walking toward the door, she looked out the window and up toward Race, "I'm sorry. And thanks," she said softly with a dejected expression on her face. That was possibly one of the most sincere apologies she had ever made. If she hadn't had been so stubborn, maybe she'd have a chance at fighting this thing.

((Sorry you guys... I was kicked out of my house and didnt have a computer))
Blink was tired of everything. He bodily picked Rose up and dropped her in a bed, his single eye stone cold. "Dat it, huh? Give up? What the hell sorry kind of newsie are you?" He demanded, tone snapping. "Either of you. There are times before when its been bad, and you two handled it. But this? No. You give up like a scared kid and run away. Oh, I'm gonna die, guess I can't do anything about it. What if I was the one sick, huh? What if I was the one giving up. What the hell would you two do about it? Let me?"
