"It's just those Raconteurs causing problems again." he sighed. "Ya don't seem too awful shy to me," he grinned, "But really, if ya ever need a place to stay, you just find me and I'll help ya out." He decided to jump tracks and change subjects. He wasn't much on the "deep" stuff. "So hows ya dog doing?

She decided to ask later who the Raconteurs were exactly. She had heard alot about them, but that was just rumors and you never knew how reliable that was. "Devil?" She grinned, "He's about the same. Though maybe a little more rambunctious, but thats to be expected considering he may be a little more well feed."

He let out a chuckle. The girl wasn't that bad when she was actually nice to you. The dog was sitting next to her, and Clarence went over to pet him. He was cautious though, not knowing if the dog would bite.

She watched the Carter walk over towards her dog. He looked almost afraid of him, it was funny, considering Devil might be a terror, but he wasn't evil. "You do know that Devil won't bit, unless maybe if I told him too, but even then its unlikely. He's a terror, but he's not mean," she laughed at him.

"Yeah, thats what they all say, then the second you turn around they bite ya in the behind." He grinned, while rubbing the dog between the ears. He sat down on the stairs on the other side of Devil. "If she ever has puppies let me know, I might buy one off of ya." He liked dogs and had been contemplating on getting one.

Spade smirked, "You might not like that to much, but it would be entertaining for me." She raised an eyebrow at him, "If my dog has puppies I would be scared, considering my dog is a HE."

"Well there goes my mind." He laughed then. It felt good to laugh again. "Well I ought to get going, the sun's going down. You can stay here if ya like, I'll keep the other bulls away." He stood up then and waved goodbye as he walked out the front door.

Spade laughed, ''Thank you.'' She stood up as he left and walked back to her room. Leaning against the wall with a rag spread out around her she sighed and closed her eyes. ''I guess its best that he's allowing me to stay here, isn't it Devil,'' she rubbed the top of his head. ''At least he's nice, but somethings wrong isn't it.''

~New~
Angel walked along the Harlem streets leisurely. She tapped her slingshot on her leg while she whistled and old tune she remembered hearing. Stopping in front of an old building she shot a pebble at one of the few windows that weren't already broken. Still whistling, she walked inside.
Angel looked up at the ceiling and spun slowly around, examining the building. Her whistling ceased and she let out a long whistle. It echoed off the walls and came back to her.
The only light came from the moon above. After a while her eyes adjusted to the dark and she began walking up the stairs, continuing her whistling.
